Doris Mildred Sims Feezell was a loving woman giving to everyone she knew. She was devoted to her family and always had a smile on her face and she never met a stranger. The love she had was always to share with others. Her daughter, Janet, remembers her mother as being as beautiful inwardly as she was beautiful outwardly. She will always be remembered as a strong, loving and beautiful person.
Doris, at the age of only 51, was fatally injured in a head-on collision with a drunk driver south of Nevada, Missouri near Sheldon on US Hwy 71.
Her granddaughter, Melissa was asleep in the back when the accident occurred. Melissa, age 7, had a mild concussion and was taken to the Nevada Hospital with minor injuries.
The drunk driver, a 21 year old man from that area was identified, hospitalized for a short time and later served time in jail.
In a split second everything changed for Doris' family.....She was ready to go, however as she was a devoted Christian and she loved the Lord with all her heart. She is missed here on earth but someday we will all have a reunion with her in Heaven. Rest in Peace dear mother. I LOVE YOU, Janet
