She married Grant Penhollow on September 30, 1886. She was a member of the Christian Church in Perry later in life changing to The Church of Christ in Painesville, Ohio. She was a member of the Women's Christian Temperance Union. She and Grant had 6 daughters: Myrtle, Nellie, Floy, Vera, Iris, and Violet along with one son Homer Durant Penhollow.
