Fallen hero and twelve year veteran of the Missouri State Highway patrol. On March 20, 2005, he was found dead of a gunshot wound in the front yard of his home in Van Buren, Missouri while still in uniform, therefore he was considered as dying while on duty. He was so popular that his funeral was attended by State policemen from all over the country and even by Governor Matt Blunt himself. America's Most Wanted also featured a dedication to him shortly after his death. His killer was sentenced to death by lethal injection.
