The Royal Naval Reserve.
H.M.S. "Europa"
Aged 33.
Son of Michael Brennock and Mary Bolger, of 41, South Dock Street, Ringsend, Dublin.
They were married in Rathdown district, Co. Dublin in 1880.
H.M.S. "Europa", an armoured cruiser, was a flagship at Mudros during the Dardanelles campaign and the landings at Gallipoli during April-November 1915.
Patrick can be assumed to be a casualty of the Gallipoli campaign.
Given that his name is recorded on the Portsmouth Memorial, it is likely that his body was lost at sea.
Four Brennock brothers died in World War 1.
Private William Brennock d. 1914.
Saddler Michael Brennock d. 1915.
Stoker Patrick Brennock d. 1915.
Sergeant Thomas Brennock d. 1917.
For further details, see the bio of his brother Michael.
Michael, who is buried in Glasnevin Cemetery, is the only one to have a known grave.
