Jonny went home to heaven only a few days after embarking on what was to have been a summer-long missionary trip for Crown College of the Bible in Powell (Knoxville), Tennessee. He and four others -- Aaron Brown, his wife Darci McCabe Brown, Brian Askew, and David Childers -- were en route to Jupiter, Florida, where they were to spend the weekend singing and ministering in a local church. With no warning whatsoever on a perfectly beautiful day, a semi-tractor trailer crossed the center line and hit their van head-on. All five were killed instantly.
