Thomas Vernon Adams
Thomas Vernon Adams, son of Louisa and Thomas Adams, was born in Indiana August 3, 1880. At an early age he with his parents moved to Des Moines, Iowa, where he grew to manhood. When twenty-one years old they again moved near Blue Springs, Nebraska.
On December 25, 1907 he was united in marriage to Annie E. Reid. To this union ten children were born, four having passed away in infancy. In 1908 they moved to Thomas county, Kansas, and had since made his home in Thomas and Sherman counties.
While living in Nebraska he affiliated with the United Baptist Church. He passed away at his home five miles southwest of Colby on February 20, 1934 at the age of fifty-three years, six months and seventeen days.
He is survived by his wife, six children; Mrs. Edna Parsons of Atwood, Kansas, Ethel, Rev. Charley, Lawrence and Fannie of the home, two grandchildren; his aged mother, Mrs. Louisa Adams, one brother, Daniel of Herndon, Iowa, and one sister, Mrs. Rosa Overton of Des Moines, Iowa.
The funeral services were conducted in the Brewster Methodist church by its pastor, Rev. Ira J. Bieber, Thursday afternoon and interment was in the Brewster Cemetery.
