---Ethel Shumaker Agee, 79, was born August 25, 1885 in Adair County, Missouri. She died April 18 at the Thomas Dell Nursing Home in Farmington, Missouri.
---She was the daughter of Saul and Alice Fletcher Shumaker. She was married to William M. Agee December 24, 1914. He died August 16, 1941 at Elmer, Missouri.
---She was a member of the Elmer Baptist Church, Rebekah Lodge and Past Noble Grand; a lifetime member of the Royal Neighbors of America; a member of the Order of Eastern Star, White Shrine; member of the Missouri State Teachers Association and had retired from the Berkeley St. Louis County School District in 1957.
---Surviving are one son, Marple Agee of Desloge; two grandchildren, Jerome Agee of Bridgton, Missouri and James Agee of Deslodge; two sisters, Mrs. R.B. Smith of Little Rock, Arkansas and Mrs. Ollie E. Cunningham of Columbia, Missouri; one great-grandchild, Stephen Agee of Bridgton, several nieces and nephews.
---Preceding her in death were her parents and husband.
---Funeral services were Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Elmer Baptist Church conducted by Kenneth Lochard. Burial was in the Elmer Cemetery under the direction of McCullum Funeral Home of Gifford.

~~~Mrs. Ethel Shumaker Agee, 77, of Desloge, a former Elmer resident died Sunday at a nursing home in Farmington, where she had been a patient for some time.
~~~Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. tomorrow at the Elmer Baptist Church, condicted[sic] by the Rev. Kenneth Lockard, and burial will be in the Elmer Cemetery. The body will remain at the McCollum Funeral Home in South Gifford until 11:30 a.m. tomorrow, and will then be taken to the church to lie in state until the hour of services.
