Avery Allen
LIBERTY--Avery Allen, 65, Liberty Route 2, White Oak, died Sunday at his home after an illness.
Born May 9, 1930, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Pete and Kate Daniel Allen. He was a former employee of Southern States Co-op and was a member of the Cowden Chapel Church of God.
Survivors are three daughters, Arlene Gribbins of Elkhorn, Vicki Burton of Liberty and Rachel Allen of Freetown, Ind.; a sister, Mary Jane Vires, Elkhorn; two half-brothers, Opal Allen of Cincinnati and Patnie Allen of Liberty; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Shirley Denson and Clifford Dehart. Burial is in Whited Cemetery.
Grandsons and nephews are pallbearers.
