Dan Alexander Denham, 60, born November 11, 1954 in College Station, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, June 5, 2015.

Known as Big Dan to his friends, he was a big man in stature and personality known most for his love of music, sense of humor, and extreme generosity. He housed and fed dozens of people, as he knew the Lord would have him do. There was never any doubt where you stood with the man. He always gave the unvarnished truth; the advice was sage, the stories long and colorful, and the music powerful. All the varied and sometimes crazy
conversions will be missed. Music was his passion... as a teenager he sang for the Queen of England with the First Baptist Church of Dallas Chapel Choir and he went on to teach his gift of music to many.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Ethel Denham, as well as his parents Elam and Mary.

Survivors include his son Zachary Denham and wife Joannie, and daughter Sarah and husband Jamie Vance, as well as his four grandchildren, Zion and Kaylee Denham and Ian and Ella Vance. Other survivors include his brothers and sisters, Laura Denham Rieff, Galen Denham, Charles Denham, and Polly Tandon, as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, at Spring Creek Missionary Baptist Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to arrive at 10:30 a.m. for time to visit.
