ELM SPRINGS -- Alvin Dean Barron, 52, of Elm Springs died Dec. 15, 2007, at his home. He was born April 23, 1955, in Elm Springs to Calvin Oswell and Lola Mae McCoy Barron. He enjoyed country music, movies and was a comedian. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Tiffany LeighAnne Barron, in 2002.

Survivors include three children, Wesley Eugene Barron of Cookeville, Tenn., Paul Alvin Barron of Marshall, Whitney Odessa Barron of Marshall; his mother of Bentonville; two brothers, Jesse Barron and Bob Barron, both of Springdale; one sister, Shirley Coleman of Fayetteville.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Heritage Funeral Home in Springdale, www.heritageofnwa.com, with the Rev. Brad Elrod officiating. Burial will be in Elm Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family will be present from 5 to 8 p.m.

Pallbearers will be James C. Tackett, Terry Bartlett, Billy Bartlett, Eugene Fuller, Jonathan Wages and Christopher Wages.
