Denison, Texas - MARTINA JOY TINNEY HOLT, 72, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2006, in Texoma Medical Center, Denison, Texas. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Fairview Cemetery, Denison, with Michael Smith officiating. Burial will be under direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home of Denison, Texas.
Martina was born April 10, 1934, in Hollis, Okla., to John Martin and Alma Lorene Helton Wilson. She was educated in Texas. She retired as a medication aid in nursing homes. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She married R.J. Tinney on Nov. 21, 1948, in Electra, Texas. He preceded her in death on April 8, 1988. She married John F. Holt on June 5, 1992, in Denison.
Survivors include her husband, of Denison; five daughters, Margery and Mickey Malone, and Janice Tinney, all of Denison, Donna and Don Harvey of Hinton, Okla., Peggy Tinney of Durant, Okla., and Gale and Roger Price of Duncan, Okla.; a brother, Vyron Wilson of Amarillo, Texas; a sister, Claudine Embry of Lubbock, Texas; and grandchildren, Corey and Angie Putman, Tracy Lee, Tricia and Wade Dawson, Robert Bragg, Tammy and Randy O'Dell, Michael and Jennifer Smith, Tina Barlow, and Jeremy and Laura Price; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Larry Putman; a great-grandson, Layton Putman; and four brothers, Newell Trapp, Doyle Trapp, Robert Trapp and Randall Wilson.
Bearers will be Randy O'Dell, Wade Dawson, Corey Putman, Robert Bragg, Jeremy Price and Michael Smith.
