Norma started working at a young age as a typist for McDonnell Douglas. She also worked as a supervisor at Annaburg Manor and the Hayloft Dinner Theatre. For most of her career, Norma was a licensed day care provider, where for over two decades she cared for and loved hundreds of children. Norma loved playing the piano, as well as watching golf and the Dallas Cowboys football. She also loved to collect and give away stuffed animals. Norma especially loved to spend time with her family and talking on the phone. She was the communication hub of the family. if someone wanted to know what was going on with everyone, she was their go to gal.
She is survived by her children, Brenda Vanover and husband Rick of VA, Sharon Carlson and husband David of Broken Arrow, Roger Anderson, Sr. of OH, Eric Anderson and wife Sheila of Purcell, and Gary Anderson and wife, Shonda of Lawrence, KS; 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Janice Thompson, Wanda Tinney, and Carolyn and husband Jim Lee; and numerous extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Edna Tinney; daughter-in-law, Debbie Anderson; and sister, Lavon Thomas and husband Paul Thomas.
