Mrs. Eiche taught tailoring to many Atchison area women through the Atchison County Extension Office. She also did custom tailoring in her home.
She was born Nov. 22, 1903, in Atchison, the daughter of George Washington and Laura Aurelia Wiggins Fleiner. She attended Sumner Grade School, south of Atchison.
Mrs. Eiche was a charter member of the Sumner Home Demonstration Unit and was a 4-H sewing leader.
She married Clifford W. Eiche on march 12, 1921, in Atchison. They lived in the Sumner community until 1988 when they moved to Mall Towers in Atchison. He survives at the couple's home. She was preceded in death by a son, George Eiche, and three sisters. Additional survivors include a daughter, Betty Jo Mier, Atchison; a son, Carl E. Eiche, Frankfort, Ind.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
