Charles Leslie Colyott, 86, of Collinsville, IL, died at 12:15 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003, at the O'Fallon Health Care Center. He was born March 8, 1916, in Hunter, Mo. Mr. Colyott retired from Carter Carburetor as a machinist. He married the former Bette Baggett on June 29, 1940. She survives in Collinsville, Il. after 62 years of marriage. Other survivors include two sons, Charles 'Ron' (Kay) Colyott of Collinsville and Larry (Judy)Colyott of Troy, IL; two daughters, Pat (Carl) Kee of McKinney, Texas and Diana (Jeff) Chamblin-Bevirt of O'Fallon; one brother, Norman L. Colyott of Jackson, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He ws preceded in death by one son, Kenny Colyott; and his parents, Charles E. and Della C. (Hampton) Colyott. Funeral services were Monday, Jan. 13, at Herbert A. Kassly Funeral Home Ltd. in Collinsville with the Rev. Dr. Robert Haslam officiating. Burial was in Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights.
