Norman Leonard Colyott, 71, of Jackson, Mo died Friday, June 6, 2003 at his home.
He was born June 17, 1931, at Hunter, Mo., son of Charles and Della Hampton Colyott. He and Violet Lawrence were married Dec. 4, 1955, at St. Louis.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U. S. Army. He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal.
He owned Norman's Radiator and Air Conditioning in Kennett and after moving to Jackson he co-owned and operated Norman's Radiator and Air Conditioning Repair Shop in Cape Girardeau since 1970. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Jackson and served as an usher for many years.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Michael Colyott of Jackson, Miss., Bruce Colyott of Cape Girardeau, Steven Colyott of Jackson, MO. and Kevin Colyott of San Antonio, TX; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral was a 2 p.m. Sunday, June 8 at McCombs Funeral Home, Jackson, Mo. Burial was in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery, Cape Girardeau, Mo. There was also a military honor guard service.
