SAN JOSE, Calif. - Word has been received of the death of Floyd B. Edwards, 74, a former Boise resident, who died Wednesday in California.
He was born Feb. 2, 1898,at Boise, where he lived until moving to San Francisco about 35 years ago. He had been a tire engineer for over 50 years, working for the Kelly Springfield Tire Co. of San Francisco and for the Bertrum Motors and U.S. Rubber Supply Co. of Boise. He was a member of the BPOE, Lodge No 310 of Boise for 53 years. He was the husband of the late Estella Edwards.
Survivors include two sons, John W Edwards, Seattle and Robert V. Edwards, Daly City, Calif.; five sisters, Hazel Fawke, Richmond, Calif., Minnie Applegate, Boise, Grace Henderson, Washington D.C., Doris Monks, Santa Rosa, Calif., and Juanita Greene, Portland; and nine grandchildren.
Services wil be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at the Dutra-Randle-man Funeral Home, Half Moon Bay, Calif. Interment will be at the Golden Gate National Cemetery at San Bruno, Calif. at 11 a.m. Tuesday."
