30 Aug 1971: Franklin M. Corl, 104 Guilford St., died Sunday morning in the Good Samaritan Hospital. He was 49. Born in Lebanon County, he was a son of Ammon E. Corl, Lebanon, and the late Elsie Mattes Corl. He was a brick mason and a veteran of World War II, 19th Infantry, army. He was Secretary-Treasurer of Local 29 of the bricklayers union. He is survived in addition to his father, by his wife Sylvia Reichard Corl; daughters Ruth E., at home; Susan, wife of Richard Serano, Charlottesville, Va. His son Franklin J. was killed in Vietnam Sept. 13, 1970. A brother Edwin A. of Wappingers Falls, N.Y., and sisters Marion, wife of Harold Martin, Lebanon RD. and Mrs. Freda Krause, Lebanon, also survive. [Lebanon Daily News]
