"John Gerhart, 67, dies

John A. Gerhart, 67, widower of Anna (Glanski) Gerhart, Coatesville Veterans Administration Hospital, Coatesville, and formerly of Pottstown, died Saturday at the veterans hospital where he was a guest for the past seven years.
Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Alpheus and Hilda (Brunst) Gerhart.
He was a self-employed painter for many years in the Pottstown area, before retiring in 1975.
He was a member if the St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 301 Cherry St., Pottstown.
He was a member of the George Amole Post 47 American Legion and was a US. Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are a son, John H 581 W. Cedarville Road, North Coventry; one daughter, Victoria, wife of Richard McCracken, King of Prussia; and four grandchildren.
Paratas services will be 9:15 a.m. Wednesday from Houck Funeral Home, Charlotte and Grace streets, Pottstown.
Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday from St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church.
The Rev. John S. Danilak, pastor, will officiate.
Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown."
