Charles D. Holloway, 73, retired machinist, dies
Charles D Holloway, 73, husband of the late Hanna V (Bumbarger) Holloway, 616 Chestnut St. Pottstown, died Friday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center where he had been a patient for three days.
Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late James and Katie (Tagleaver) Holloway.
Mr. Holloway was a machinist for the Leeds & Norhtrup Co, North Wales, for 15 years, retiring in 1974.
He also served as a member of the First Baptist Church of Pottstown, the Amity C.B. Club, Pikeville Sportsman Association and the Pottstown Old Timers Association.
Surviving with his widow are two daughters, Karen L., wife of Larry Hine, 230 N Evans St, Pottstown, Patricia, wife of Joseph Grove, Bechetsville, seven sons, William, Orangeville; Charles D Jr, South Carolina; Delbert L Bumbarger, Stormstown; James W Bathurst, 798 N Evans St Pottstown; Dallas D Bathurst 959 Willow St Pottstown; and Robert B Bathurst Lansdale; one brother Irvin 764 N Franklin St Pottstown; 18 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday from the Schumacher Funeral Home 359 King St, Pottstown. The Rev George T Ballein, pastor of First Baptist Church will officiate.
Interment will be in Limerick Garden of Memories.
A viewing will be 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
