Edward Doudna was the only firefighter killed in the Great Flood of 1913 in Dayton. He died trying to rescue a family on West Third Street. Doudna was stationed at Hose Company #9 at 234 River St., which is now Riverview Terrace between Salem Avenue and Dayton Street.
