Harry Keville was stationed at Co. 2 when his crew responded to a fire at W. Third and Northampton Streets. The fire was minor and damage was set at $5.00.
Enroute, Engine 2 lost control after skidding on street car tracks and sideswiping three cars. Harry and another firefighter were thrown from the rear of the Engine where they were standing. Both were taken to Miami Valley Hospital where Keville died a short time later. He was 38 years old. The other firefighter recovered from his injuries.
