Thomas V. Grogan of Morristown, N.J., died on Monday, July 16, 2012. He was 69. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Assumption, Morristown, on Thursday at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Holy Rood Cemetery. Hours of visitation are at the Doyle Funeral Home, 106 Maple Ave., Morristown, on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.

Born in Morristown, Mr. Grogan was a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of Madison High School. Thomas served in the United States Navy from 1962 to 1967. He was a reservation manager for United Airlines at Newark Airport for over 30 years before retiring. Most recently, he worked for Schindler Elevator Company in Whippany, N.J.

He was a member of the Church of the Assumption, Morristown, and was an avid car enthusiast. Thomas was predeceased by his father, Joseph Vincent Grogan, and nephew, Kevin Crowley. He is survived by his mother, Mary Davitt Grogan Hines; his sister, Jean Crowley and her husband, Michael, of Hainesville, N.J.; four step-sisters, Claire, Patricia, Mary Lou, and Theresa; two great nephews, Joseph and Ryan, and his beloved dogs, Maggie and Patrick.
