Jack became a member of the Wanamassa Fire Company, March 14, 1927. He became a Charter Member of the Wanamassa First Aid Squad in 1928.

We are sorry to say, due to the restrictions at "Findagrave" we are not able to publish the obituary we have of William Trainor Glassford Sr., published in the Asbury Park Press, may 21,1967 and the Red Bank Register, May 22,1967

Born in New York City, Kings, New York (Brooklyn). His parents were William John Glassford & Lilias Thompson Craik Glassford (both born in Scotland).

Mr. Glassford had lived in the shore area 55 years, moving
here three years ago.

He was a salesman 20 years for the Bayuk Cigar Co.

Mr. Glassford had been secretary of the Elks Club, Asbury Park, 12 years and was a past exalted ruler. He had been treasurer and secretary of the National Foundation for the New March of Dimes. He was an exempt member of the Wanamassa Fire Company and belonged to Ballard Baptist Church, Asbury Park. Surviving are his wife, Mrs.Florence Brown Glassford; two sons, Russell C. Glassford of Rockaway and Harold E. Glassford of Satellite Beach, Fla.; seven Grandchildren ; and two great grand children. Burial is at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls, NJ
