According to family records ~ Amelia died suddenly in the arms of her son Robert, (my great-grandfather), in the backyard of her home.

Amelia married John F. W. Batzka in the year 1868. He was about 23 years old and Amelia about 21...Together they had eight children, with two of them dying in Chicago, IL. One of a sickness and one of drowning before the family moved to Indiana...
