"Jesse B. Grove, 73, of Glen Rock RD 4, died at 5:55 a.m. Friday at York Hospital. He was the husband of Luticia E. (Minnick) Grove. The couple observed their 52nd wedding anniversary Aug. 24.
Mr. Grove was born July 15, 1921, in Hopewell Township. He was the son of the late Levi Baldwin and Emma (Waltemyer) Grove.
He was a lifelong farmer in Shrewsbury Township, and retired in 1983 after 21 years of service with Ray L. Brandt Trucking Co., York. He was a member of Shrewsbury Volunteer Fire Company.
Mr. Grove also is survived by two sons, Jesse S. Grove of Stewartstown, and Edward M. Grove of Glen Rock RD 4; a daughter, Joan M. Routson of Railroad; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and five brothers, Harry Grove of Spry, Kenneth Grove of Red Lion, Donald Grove of Airville, and Paul Grove and Floyd Grove, both of Stewartstown."
