According to The Virginia Genealogical Society Quarterly, Vol. XII, #4, 1 Oct 1974, Augusta County Court Martial Records index, Christian Clemens was listed in 1756:2, Christian Clement in 1757:12, and Christian Clemons in 1758:15.
In Sep 1758, Christian Clement was in the Augusta County, Virginia, militia. (Virginia Colonial Militia 1651-1776 by William Armstrong Crozier, 1905, Volume 2 of his Virginia County Records, page 61) He is also listed in Virginia's Colonial Soldiers by Lloyd De Witt Bockstruck, page 203, as being paid 12 shillings.
In 1770, Christian Clemons gave 266 acres in Augusta County, Virginia to John Maharfey for five shillings, Virginia money, and one peppercorn annually thereafter. (Augusta County, Virginia Deed Book 16, pages 297-299) The deed reads, in part:

(Virginia Colonial Militia 1651-1776 by William Armstrong Crozier, 1905, Volume 2 of his Virginia County Records, page 61) He is also listed in Virginia's Colonial Soldiers by Lloyd De Witt Bockstruck, page 203, as being paid 12 shillings.
In 1770, Christian Clemons gave 266 acres in Augusta County, Virginia to John Maharfey for five shillings, Virginia money, and one peppercorn annually thereafter. (Augusta County, Virginia Deed Book 16, pages 297-299) The deed reads, in part:
"Examined and delivered John Maharfey Dec 18th, 1771. This Indenture made the fourteenth Day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy Between Christian Clemons and Catharine his wife of the County of Augusta of the one part and John Maharfey of the County aforesd. of the other part
"Witnesseth that the said Christian and Catharine Clemons for and in Consideration of the Sum of five Shillings Current Money of Virginia to them in Hand paid by the said John Maharfey at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these Presents doth bargain and sell unto the said John Maharfey and to his Heirs for ever a certain Tract or Parcell of Land containinging two hundred and sixty six Acres being part of a tract for 400 acres granted to John Baffort (Balfour?) by Patent Bearing Date the tenth [line drawn through] twentieth of Feb.y one thousand seven hundred and forty five which sd. Land was convey'd to the said Christian Clemons by said Belfort by Deeds Scave (or Scase) and Release bearing date the fourteenth Day of Feby. one thousand seven hundred and sixty three and acknowledged the next Day
"then following and Bounded as followeth Beginning at a Black Oak on a Ridge on Pattrick Fraziors Line and thence North thirty seven Degrees West one hundred and thirty seven poles to a Pine near a Glaid thense South West fifty poles to two Pines thence North thirty seven Degrees West sixty four Poles to the Patent Line and with the same South seventy four Degrees West one hundred and ten Poles to two White Oak Grubs then South sixty sixteen Degrees East two hundred and sixty five Poles to a White Oak and Black Oak Grubs thence North forty seven Poles East two hundred and fifty two Poles to the Beginning and all Houses Buildings Orchards Ways Waters Watercourses profits Commodities Heredetaments and Appurtenancs whatsoever to the said Premises hereby granted or any part thereof belonging or in any wise appertaining and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and Profits thereof
"To have and to hold the said Tract of Land and all and singular other the Premises hereby granted with the Appurtenances unto the said John Maharfey his Heirs Executors and Assigns from the Day before the Date hereof for and during the full term and time of one whole year from thence next ensuing fully to be complete and ended yielding and paying therefore the Rent of one Pepper Corn on Lady Day next if the same shall be lawfully demanded to the intent and purpose that by Virtue of these Presents and of the Statute for Transferring uses into Possession the said John Maharfey may be in actual possession of these premises and be thereby enabled to accept and take a Grant and Release of the Reversion and Inheritance thereof to him and Heirs

Christian Clemons' will is on file in the Clerk of Circuit Court's office, Augusta County, Virginia, Will Book 6, pages 275-277:

This tenth day of February one thousand Seven hundred & Eighty, I Christian Clemons of Augusta County & Common Wealth of Virginia being Sick and Weak in Body but of Perfect mind & Memory thanks be unto God for it therefore calling to mind the Mortality of my Body & knowing that it is appointed unto all Men once to Die do make & ordain this my last Will & Testament that is to say. . .
"Principally and first of all I give and Recommend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it & my Body I recommend to the Earth to be Buried in Decent Christian Burial at the discretion of my Exrs. nothing doubting but at the General Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God & as Touching such worldly Estate Wherewith it hath pleased god to bless me in this life I give devise & dispose of if the following manner and form- - -

"Item, I give to my Eldest son Gasper the plantation on the North Side of the River Joining David McNellys Land & a New Survey of Sixty Six Acres Joining the same also another Survey of Eighty acres on the South Side of the River known by the name of the big meadow for his use & disposal forever.
"(page 276): Item, I give and allow my son John the plantation I now live upon what is on the South Side of the River the River being the line between Gasper & John up to the Meadow and a Survey Joining the Same of One hundred Acres for his use and disposal forever & my Augres Saws & Edge Tools- - -

He married Catharine Margaret Vaught. She was born ca. 1715 in Germany and died ca. June, 1793, when her will was proved. She was the daughter of Johan Paul Vaught and Mary Katrine --.
Christian owned land on Deep Run, which was patented Nov 21, 1734. That land today is in Madison County, Virginia, near the Culpeper County line and on State Route 609. The road was originally Bloodworth's Trail, then Bloodworth's Road, and then State Route 609. A few months later, his future father-in-law, John Paul Vaught, bought land adjacent to his.
On Sep 25, 1746, Christian Clements patented land on the southeast side of the South River of the Shenandoah.
In 1749, Christian Clements and John Paul Vaught had a survey run on land on South River.
On Nov 27, 1755, the following appeared in Augusta County Records (Chalkley's Augusta County Books, page 440):
"Page 139 - By order of Vestry, dated 27 November, 1755, subscribers have processioned all the patroned land within bounds of Cap. William Christian's Company. . . ."
"Page 147 -1755: Samuel Givens processioned as follows. . . Christian Clemons, present, Christian Clemons, Jr.; for Geo. Trout, Geo. Trout."
According to The Virginia Genealogical Society Quarterly, Vol. XII, #4, 1 Oct 1974, Augusta County Court Martial Records index, Christian Clemens was listed in 1756:2, Christian Clement in 1757:12, and Christian Clemons in 1758:15.
In Sep 1758, Christian Clement was in the Augusta County, Virginia, militia.
