Peter was the 8th child of Adam Croco and Susannah Goshorn Croco. He married Sophia Hoover, Sept. 28, 1856, in Marshall Co., Ind. He enrolled in the Civil War Sept. 7, 1861 at LaPorte, Ind. Regiment 9, Company D. Military notes; Promoted to Corporal on Nov. 23, 1861. Promoted to Sergent on July 9, 1862. Mustered in as a Veteran on Dec. 24, 1863. Died of Flux at Huntsville, Alabama on Jan. 29, 1865.
