Singer. He was a 1970s-1980s pop icon, teen idol and musician. His three older brothers: Barry, Maurice, and Robin, formed The Bee Gees singing group, and Gibb was considered to join them before he chose to go his own way. He first appeared with the short-lived band Melody Fayre. As a solo artist, he had three consecutive number one hits with "I Just Want to Be Your Everything," "(Love Is) Thicker Than Water," and "Shadow Dancing." This was the first time a male solo artist had three consecutive number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100. He also released three albums: "Flowing Rivers" (1977) and "Shadow Dancing" (1978) went Platinum, and his last, "After Dark," went Gold. His later career included making TV appearances as a guest star.
