Kurt attended Lynch Public School and graduated with a High School Diploma in 1972.
After graduation he moved to Omaha, Nebraska. He worked in Max's body shop, telemarketing and retail. For many years he worked for Mattel toys as a merchandising representative, a job that he enjoyed greatly. His work with Mattel gave him an opportunity to travel to many cities. The last few years, he was employed by Toys R Us, Omaha, Nebraska.
Kurt spent many hours researching his family genealogy and history. He printed copies of the family history for members of the family. It was an ongoing project for him, and he continually updated the history.
Kurt volunteered and worked many hours supporting the Special Olympics.
Kurt is survived by: Partner, Joe Hurd of Omaha, Nebraska; brother, James Lueken and wife Brigitte of Lynch, Nebraska; sister, Jean Roberts and husband Dan of Spencer, Nebraska; brother, Duane Lueken of Omaha, Nebraska; sister, Susanne Krohn and Husband Dave of Omaha, Nebraska; brother, George of Albion, Nebraska; brother, Lawrence Lueken of Lynch, Nebraska; brother, Robert Lueken of Lynch, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Helen Lueken of Lynch, Nebraska; brother-in-law, Raymond Wade of Lynch, Nebraska and a host of family and friends.
Kurt was preceded in death by: parents; brother, Kim Lueken and sisters, Jackie Cassidy and Milda Wade.
Interment was in Assumption Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church Cemetery, Lynch, Nebraska.
