Jean Halbrook passed away at East Alabama Medical Center on Dec. 27, 2013. She was born in Center Ridge, AR to Opal Bradley and Quinton Taylor Halbrook. Her parents preceded her in death. She spent her younger years in Morrilton, AR. She was a long time resident of the Auburn-Opelika, AL area and Mobile, AL. She worked as a surgical assistant for various oral-maxillofacial surgeons and at East Alabama Medical Center. Her husband, Jim Hardin, Auburn, AL and her brother, Bruce Halbrook, Manassas, VA, survive her. Her special love, Semper Fi, a Lhasa Apso, survives her also. Visitation will be Friday, January 3, 2013 at Jeffcoat-Trant in Opelika, AL from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm. She will be transported to Morrilton, AR. Visitation and final services will be performed at Harris Funeral Home in Morrilton, AR at 10:00 am on Wednesday, January 8, 2013. She will then be transported to the Halbrook Cemetery located at Woolverton Mountain, AR for burial next to her parents. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Lee County Humane Society. She will be missed by the many that knew her
