Sandra Jean Emmons, 60, of Lafayette, and Punta Gorda, FL, died at 8:55 AM Thursday, October 18, 2012, at Indiana University Hospital. Sandi was a 3 time cancer survivor. She was born November 2, 1951, in Lafayette to the late Ralph (Dutch) and Leona Lincoln Fruits. Sandra graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1969 and earned her Sales Associate from the Indiana Real Estate Commission in 1984 and later a Brokers License. Mrs. Emmons also held a Florida Real Estate Sales Associate License. Sandi married Michael R. Emmons in St. Boniface Catholic and they have been married for 41 years.

Sandi started her career as a flight attendant for Purdue Airlines in 1970. After taking 7 years to raise her children to school age, Sandi worked as a department manager of Osco Drug. In 1984 she started a successful 26 year real estate career at Century 21 Mennen, which eventually lead her to being the managing broker and Owner of Parkway Realty. Sandi ended her real estate career as a sales professional for Coldwell Banker Shook Agency.

She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Women of the Moose, National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution, Elks, Life Member of Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW 1154 and past Auxiliary Commander of Navy Club Ship 12. Sandi enjoyed family genealogy, swimming, fishing, knitting, traveling, cooking and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving with her husband are children: Jennifer Pressler, (husband Robert Pressler III), of West Lafayette, and Brian Emmons of Philadelphia, PA; and grandchildren Brinley and Porter Pressler. Also surviving are sisters Janice Bachleda, (husband Robert), of Carmel, Mary Theresa Stonebraker, (husband Jeff); sister-in-law Gretchen Lone, (husband Al), both of Lafayette; and 14 beloved nieces and nephews. Sandi was preceded in death by a mother-in-law Rosemary Emmons Rohloff; brother Donald Friuts; and a niece Julia Montgomery.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Monday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Fr.
