He was a 1973 graduate of Lakeland High School and was a self-employed truck driver for over 30 years. He was a member of the Kingsley United Methodist Church, Sons of Nam Motorcycle Club in Lenox, Pennsylvania, Harford Masonic Lodge 445 FA&M and the Elk Mountain VFW Post 8488, Lenox, Pennsylvania. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, snowmobiling and racing, but most of all he loved spending time with his two sons. Although they were adopted, they always thought of Max as their real dad. He reared two sons who knew the difference between right and wrong. Max will be greatly missed by his family and friends, especially by his dogs, Jack and Oscar. Max's family will be forever grateful to the family who donated their loved one's lungs in 1989. Max enjoyed good health for 20 years because of this generous act.
