Son of Solomon Saul Colvin and Mahala Jane (Rowe) Colvin.

Married to Della May (Wolf) Colvin on October 27, 1900. Father of Nellie Olive, Pauline Elizabeth, Frieda Hazel, Ralph Thomas, Agnes Naoma, Charles Ernest, and Katheryn Louise Colvin and Georgia Nadene (Colvin) Ellis Pritts.

George H. Colvin

George H. Colvin, 71, of 915 North Sixth street, painter and paperhanger, died at St. Elizabeth hospital at 11:10 a.m. Saturday. Mr. Colvin was a member of the Brookston Christian church, and Della May Wolf in 1900; she died in 1935. Surviving are six children: Mrs. Stiles Jeffries, Chalmers; Mrs. Robert Williamson, Mrs. William Ellis, Mrs. Ray Newton and Ralph Colvin, all of Lafayette, and Ernest Colvin, AAF, Miami Beach, Fla. The body is at the Rogers and Henderson Funeral Home.

NOTE: At this time, it is unknown if there is a headstone or not. The ground in this cemetery is very soft and many stones are sinking or are already underground. Slowly and thoroughly, the cemetery is being probed for these stones. The Colvin plot has yet to be probed.
