Grace Mae Colvin
COLLEGE PLACE- Funeral Services for Grace Mae Colvin of 225 SW Sixth St, will be in Colonial-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday at 1 p.m. with Elder Nevins M. Harlan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Colvin, 98 died Monday at Whitman Manor Nursing Home.
She was born in Battle Creek, Mich., June 13, 1879, the daughter of Frank C. and Augusta Castle. The family moved to Colorado in 1884, where Mrs. Colvin was educated. She and her husband lived in Gaston, Ore. He died in 1932. Mrs. Colvin came to this area 23 years ago.
She was a member of the Eastgate Seventh-day Adventist Church.
She is survived by her sons; Harold Colvin, of Walla Walla, Marvin Colvin of Carnation, Wash., Vern Colvin of Cornelius, Ore., and Bill Colvin of Watsonville, Calif.; her daughters, Birdie I. Weimer and Evelyn White, both of College Place, and Myrtle Sparhawk of Gresham, Ore.; her sister, Myrtle Nelson of College Place; 37 grandchildren; 90 great-grandchildren, 57 great-great-grandchildren, and three great-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons.
