Billy was born on the Pat Malonay place at 7:30 in the evening Sept 23, 1914, and grew to manhood around Alexis, Il.. He was a joy. To know him was to like him. He was home for 30 days coming Nov 10, leaving for Des Moines Dec 10-was last time home. Mother was with him a couple of hours before death in hospital at Des Moines, Iowa. They called it house 25 there. His pal Curtis Peterson of Davenport was in the same house came to funeral. Also Mr. Miller who enlisted him. His lady friend was Pat Kniest, 1701 Nicholson Pl, St. Louis Mo.
