Graveside services for Mary K. Brown, 90, Muscatine, Iowa, formerly of Aledo, are 1 p.m. Monday at Aledo Cemetery.

There is no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lutheran Homes of Muscatine. Family Funeral Services, Aledo, is in charge of arrangements.

She died Friday, March 10, 2000, at Lutheran Homes, Muscatine.

She was born Sept. 22, 1909, in Alexis, the daughter of Fred and Myrtle Murphy Metzner. She married Lee M. Brown on April 21, 1927, in Aledo. He died June of 1958.

Mrs. Brown was a homemaker.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Alpha, Lioness Club of Keithsburg and the Keithsburg Senior Citizens.

She enjoyed needlework and crocheting.

Survivors include a daughter and spouse, Shirley and Chester Spence, Little York, Ill.; sons and spouses, Marvin and Carol Brown, Muscatine, Fred and Janet Brown, Alpha, and John and Sharon Brown, Sullivan, Ill.; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and special friends, Ted and Ruth Clardy, Galesburg. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers; a daughter, Lenora Martin, in 1995; and two grandchildren.
