Floyd D. Hale, 84, of Fort Dodge, died Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Marian Home.
Cremation rites will be accorded by the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Floyd is survived by his wife Mary; his children, Shari Remington, Wichita, Kan.; Cindy Jones, Chino, Calif.; Steve Hale, Fort Dodge; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Verlene.
Floyd D. Hale, the son of George W. and Helga (Johnson) Hale, was born March 17, 1928 in Fort Dodge. He graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1948. Floyd served in the U.S. military from 1950 to 1952. On September 30, 1961, Floyd was united in marriage to Mary H. Lippold in Vermillion, South Dakota. Floyd was employed with New Idea for 24 years, American Can for 15 years and later worked in security services.
Floyd was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church and was a past member of Vestry.
