Mary H. Hale, 80, of Fort Dodge, died Sunday, March 17, 2013 at the Marian Home.

Cremation rites will be accorded by the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Mary is survived by her children, Shari Remington, Wichita, Kan.; Cindy Jones, Chino, Calif.; Steve Hale, Fort Dodge; three grandchildren; and her siblings, Bernadette Manley, Grinnell; Gertrude Hopton, Spirit Lake; and John Lippold, Los Altos, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Floyd.

Mary Helen Lippold, the daughter of John P. and Agnes V. (Telford) Lippold was born August 4, 1932 in Spencer, Iowa. She graduated from Spencer High School in 1952 and lived in Spencer until moving to Le Mars where she lived for three years. In 1958 she moved to Fort Dodge. On September 30, 1961, Mary was united in marriage to Floyd D. Hale in Vermillion, South Dakota. Mary was employed as a nurse's aide at Trinity Regional Hospital for 27 years, prior to her retirement in 1993.

Mary was a member of St. Mark Episcopal Church and was a former member of the Altar Guild.
