"Hubbard Day"
"Hubbard Day, a longtime resident of The Dalles, died Friday, Sept. 20 at a local nursing home. He was 85.
Mr. Day was born April 19, 1906 at Grants Pass.
He had been a deputy assessor for the Wasco County, Assessor's Office and a bus driver for many years in this area.
He was for many years a member and the secretary for the local Eagles Acrie #2124, and was also an active Lions Club Member. He also belonged to The Dalles Moose Lodge and The Dalles Elks Lodge #303.
Survivors include his wife: Alta (Daisy) Day, The Dalles; two sons: Hubbard Day, Jr., McMinville; Edwin Day, The Dalles; a daughter: Elaine Day, The Dalles; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
Memorial services under the direction of the officers of the Eagles Lodge will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Eagles Lodge in The Dalles."
