Charlotte 'Elaine' Day
Charlotte "Elaine" Day, 76, The Dalles, died at a local care facility Saturday, June 5, 2004.
She was born Dec. 5, 1927, in Denver, Colo., the second of four children and only daughter to Hubbard and Alta M. (Wetzler) Day. She was raised in Denver and Fort Collins, Colo., Boise, Idaho and Bend. She graduated from Bend High School and was active in Thespians Drama Club, tumbling and was a marching band majorette. She lived in several towns before settling in The Dalles in 1980.
She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and The Dalles Eagles Lodge, and enjoyed dancing and teaching ballroom dancing.
She is survived by her son, Larry Rea Anderson, Anderson Island, Wash.; her daughter Bobbie Chris and her husband Robert "Bob" Anthony Wojtecki, The Dalles; four grandchildren, Larry Rea Anderson II, Tacoma, Wash.; Robert "Rob" Anthony II and his wife, Stephanie Wojtecki, The Dalles; Jaime Lynn and her husband, Kevin Bailey, The Dalles and Shelly Rea Anderson, Montana; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, Hubbard, Edwin and John.
Private family memorial services will be held at a later date. Private cremation was held at The Dalles Winquatt Crematory with internment at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery Columbarium. Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Catholic Church, PO Box 41, The Dalles, OR 97058."
