Grant Dawson, 72, died early this morning in the hospital at the county farm where he had been a patient for some time. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Charles Miller of Clemons, a son, Kyle Dawson of Indianola, and a sister Mrs. David Hilsabeck of Albion.
The body was taken to the Estel funeral home here pending completion of funeral arrangements."

"Funeral services for Grant Dawson, who died Wednesday in the county farm hospital, were held at the Albion cemetery in charge of Rev. C. K. Hudson. Pallbearers were David Hilsabeck, Lee Dawson, F. D. Dennis, William Presnall, H. P. Augustine and Herbert Dawson.
Mr. Dawson was born May 26, 1867, near Albion, living there for many years. He came to Marshalltown 28 years ago and had been a resident of Marshall county all his life.
Those from away attending the services included Mr. and Mrs. Charles Miller and daughters Amy and Arlene of Clemons, Mr. and Mrs. Kyle Dawson and son Kyle, Jr. of Indianola, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Dawson of Eldora, Hr. and Mrs. Lee Dawson of Conrad and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dawson of Marshalltown."
