Harold W. Irwin 1920-2004

Harold W. Irwin (83) Born October 26, 1920, in Mitchell, South Dakota, departed this planet to be with his Lord on January 9, 2004. He is survived by Lorraine, his wife of 63 years; daughter, Vicki Lynn Gruber; son, Gary Scott; 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. A son, Dale, preceded him in death in 1993. He retired from Chevron Refinery in 1981 as a Machinist Specialist. He was a Boy Scout Troop Leader for many years. He lived a full and fruitful life with flying, building CB radios, and a hover craft. He and his wife traveled widely in their motor home when he retired in 1981. Services will be held Friday, January 16, 2004 at Luyben Family Dilday Mottell Mortuary, 5161 Arbor Road, Long Beach, CA. Viewing between 10:00 & 11:00 AM. Funeral from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon. Following the service, there will be a gathering at Recreation Park Golf Club, 5001 Deukmejian Drive, Long Beach, CA, beginning at 1:00 PM to celebrate Harold's life. You may take this opportunity to share with others any stories or memories you may have of him. Family Dilday-Mottell.
