"William H. Keenan, Jr.
William H. Keenan Jr., husband of the late Lillian H. Keenan, died Monday at the Masonic Home and Hospital, Wallingford. He was 85.
He was born in Middlefield, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Keenan Sr., and was a former resident of Portland. He was a member of Hartford Lodge 88, AF&AM; Hartford Chapter 64, OES; Hemlock Grange 182, Central Pomona Grange No. 1 Cyrene Commandery No. 8, and Pythagoras Chapter No. 17, RSM. He was a retired claims adjuster for the Hartford Accident & Indemnity Co.
Mr. Keenan leaves a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Stemmler of Portland; a son, Richard Keenan of Portland, and a stepson, C. H. Cowles of Kendall, Fla.
The Rev. Michael Jackson of the First Congregational Church will conduct funeral services today at 2 p.m. at the Masonic Home, Wallingford. Burial will be in Portland Burial Ground, Portland.
The B. C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., Wallingford, is in charge of arrangements."
