Funeral services were held at the Dingle chapel last week for Mrs. Hannah Dayton, 84 years of age, who died the proceeding week at the home of a son Elmo Dayton, in Cokeville, Wyo. Mrs. Dayton was born in Michigan and in 1851, with members of her family, crossed the plains to Utah with a hand cart company. She resided in Cedar Fort until 1891, when she moved to Dingle. Mrs. Dayton had devoted much of her life in administering to the sick, and was widely known. She is survived by four sons, forty-three grandchildren, one brother and two sisters. Speakers at the services were Bishop Warren Sirrine and Hyrum Oakey of Dingle; President Edward C. Rich of Montpeller and Silas Wright of Bennington. Interment was made in the Dingle cemetery.
