Obituary - Mrs. Olive Barkdull, 82, died at 6:00 a m., Wednesday, in Montpelier at the home of her son, Grant Barkdull.
She was born August 22, 1887 at Pleasant Grove, Utah, the daughter of William Genies and Mary Belinda Bacon Black. Except far two year's residence in Pocatello, Mrs. Barkdull had lived in Georgetown and Montpelier since coming to Bear Lake county when 11 years of age. She moved to Montpelier in 1940.
She married David L. Barkdull. Mr. Barkdull died December 2, 1933. She was member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and active in Relief Society work.
Surviving are nine children - Mrs. Wells Smith, Milford Barkdull and Wendell Barkdull, all of Georgetown; Mrs. Owen Freeman, Mrs. Carson Welker and Ernest Barkdull of Salt Lake City; Nathan Barkdull and Mrs. James Rasmussen of Pocatello; and Grant Barkdull of Montpelier; four sisters - Mrs. John Barkdull of Montpelier; Mrs. William Horton of Aberdeen; Mrs. Peter Swensen and Mrs. Edward Swensen, both of Idaho Falls; a brother, Ambrose Black of Georgetown; 56 grandchildren and 80 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Ralphine Lindsey, preceded her in death on March 11, 1939.
Funeral services will be held in the Georgetown ward chapel at 2 p.m. on Friday.
