Obituary: M. Scott Barkdull, 58, passed away September 15, 1985 at the Sacred Heart Hospital at Spokane, Washington. He was born 10 FEB 1927 at Georgetown, Idaho to Milford L. and Ann Hayes Barkdull. He married JoAnn Dunn at Montpelier, Idaho on January 1, 1951. He began his schooling at Bedcwith and Cokeville, Wyoming, then moved to Georgetown, Idaho in 1936. After graduating from Georgetown High school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He graduated from the Idaho State University with a degree in history. He loved his railroad career which he began as a brakeman, being promoted to a conductor in Montpelier, then as an officer of Safety and Courtesy Representative at Cheyenne, Wyoming, and a Train master at Spokane, Washington. He retired as a Rules Examiner of the Oregon Division. Survivors include his wife JoAnn, two sons Jeffrey Scott and Micheal David of Spokane; one daughter, Mrs. Rick (Susan) Nicholls of Bellevue Washington: nine grandchlldren; His mother, Ann Barkdull of Georgetown, Idaho; two sisters, Mrs. A.J. (Pauline) Bentsen,
Montpelier, Mrs. Floyd (Thelma) Hebdon of Salt Lake City, Utah. He was preceded in death by his father, Milford L. Barkdull. Funeral services were held Thursday, September 19 at the LDS Fourteenth Ward, Spokane, with burial at Spokane Memorial Gardens
