Charles was a farmer and large landowner. At Rock, WV, he operated the old tunnel grist mill on the Bluestone River with his brother Chrispianos. It was one of the county's first industries .... Charles donated the land for Rock Church .... In later years, Charles moved to Bramwell, WV, where he owned and operated a hotel until he died of a stroke, May 6, 1904.
