"DEATH CLAIMS
Mrs. Lovina King, An Esteemed Pioneer Resident - funeral Monday Afternoon.
Following a long illness caused by a stroke of paralysis, Mrs. Lovina King, aged 83, passed away Saturday at the home of her only daughter, Mrs. Joseph Mottinger, on the Willshire road.
Mrs. King was the widow of the late Andrew King and was one of the pioneer residents of the community, for over sixty years residing on the family farm northwest of Rockford. She was well known and respected, and her passing is mourned not only by her family, but by a host of friends.
The funeral service was held Monday afternoon from the Rockford United Brethren Church, conducted by the pastor Rev. C.H. Lilly. The burial was made in Riverside Cemetery beside her husband."

Another obituary:

"Mrs. Lovina King, nee, Mihm, was born in the state of New York, May 27, 1839, aged 83 years and 27 days.
She came to this community with her parents, when but a girl. She was united in marriage to Andrew M. King, December 28, 1856. To this union were born ten children, nine sons and one daughter; James, Amos, Ottos, Orlando and Charles having preceeded her in death.
She has lived in this community practically all her life. She was converted when but a girl, but never united with any church, yet she attended the United Brethren Churches at the Ridge and at Rockford. During her illness she called for the pastor, who prayed with her, baptizing her, and receiving her testimony that she had found Jesus the Savior, precious to her soul.
In life she was a loving wife and mother, a good neighbor, loved and respected by all who knew her. She suffered a paralytic stroke affecting her left side, about nine weeks ago, which finally resulted in her death. As she answers the final summons, she leaves behind to mourn: four sons and one daughter, namely Wallis of Syracuse, Ind., Mary Mottinger, William, Oliver and Naaman King, all of Rockford, Ohio. Eighteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren, besides many other relatives and friends.
