Dana graduated from Pendleton Heights High School in 1975, then attended Ball State University. He grew up in Pendleton and then moved to Anderson.
He enjoyed history, animals, sports, raising plants and spending time with his family.
He was a US Navy veteran where he received several honors.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy Cortrecht of Anderson; three sons, Josh (wife, Amy) Cortrecht of Pendleton, and Jacob Cortrecht and Jared Cortrecht, both of Anderson; mother and stepfather, Mary Kay and John Cravens of Anderson; father, Don Cortrecht of Anderson; five grandchildren, Keegan, Kyle, Kain, Kaleb and Khloe.
