Irene Harper Conner, 80, of Pendleton, died Saturday, May 9, 2009 at St. John's Medical Center in Anderson following a brief ilness.
She was born January 20, 1929 in Paragon, Indiana and was a Pendleton resident for 70 years.
She had been employed in the bookkeeping department of Pendleton Banking Co. and as payroll supervisor for South Madison Community Schools.
Irene was a 1946 graduate of Pendleton High School and a member of Pendleton Christian Church.
Survivors include her two daughters, Susan Denise (husband, Roger Melton) Conner of Columbus and their daughter, Amanda; and Dana Marie (husband, Max Michael) Conner of Indianapolis and their daughters, Kinsey and Alyson; and sister, Gladys Lorene Hepfer of Pendleton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Conner, and parents.
Services wil be at 12 p.m. Tuesday at Pendleton Christian Church, 1170 S. Pendleton Ave., Pendleton, with Rev. Michael Canada officiating. Calling will be from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday. Burial will follow in Grove Lawn Cemetery, Pendleton.
Arrangements were entrusted to Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, Pendleton.
